Meeting Fictional Character

This project was about meeting my favorite fictional character. I chose to place myself in the place of Darth Vader when he speaks to Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back to insert myself into the Star Wars universe rathe than trying to place the Emperor in our reality. 

To accomplish this, I found a reference photo of Palpatine's hologram from Empire Strikes Back and made a tracing of the hologram and the room. I took a photo of myself kneeling and made a tracing of that, then combined both tracings to create a single image. After getting the image drawn I colored the illustration with watercolor paint and colored pencils. After that I went into Photoshop to crop and darken the image to make it appear as if Palpatine's hologram is the source of light in the room.
